SUWANEE INDEPENDENCE DAY TEA PARTY PROTEST - July 4, 2009

(July 8, 2009) We would like to offer our thanks to all of our speakers, and to all of you who came out to support each other.  It was wonderful to see several hundred citizens, each dedicated to taking our country back, each sufficiently grateful to those who pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor, so as to offer up whatever they can to ensure that those sacrifices were not made in vain.

You can view Leeann Livingston's talk (Government Accountability) on YouTube (click here).

In the interest of your privacy, we will post no event photos, now or in the future.

We started the construction of this site the week of July 4, 2009. Please check back with us regularly as we find suitable content for your use.

We continue to update this site, although it has slowed somewhat due to our active participation in the planning of the TaxPayer March on DC.  If you would like to see any specific content on this site, please send a note including the topic, and if so moved, a body of research, and we will get it posted.

Many new features are being added, including an education section where good, solid information on many topics related to the governance of our country may be found.  Many responsible viewpoints shall be included.  Our goal is not to indoctrinate; rather, it is to provide a quick and simple path to self-education, helping to enable our members to become better educated, better informed citizens.  We hope to provide tools which can be used by freedom loving citizens to accomplish the goal of this organization.

This site shall be maintained as a nonpartisan source of information.  As we open the site up to postings from members, no partisan rants or personal attacks will be tolerated.  This site is not about politicians - it is about ideas.

Mission

To transform our government to conform to the principles upon which the US Constitution was founded

What Can I Do ?????

Step 1:  Take a long, hard look at yourself and decide "What is important to me, my family, and their future?" What do I care about and why?  How important are these things to me?  Are they important enough to invest my time and/or energy and/or resources?  If the answer is yes, go to step 2.

Step 2:  Decide how much you are willing to invest, and how often, so that you can maintain this investment over a long period of time (anything worth doing will take persistence and patience and long-suffering).  Discuss this decision with you family and gain their support.

Step 3:  Commit - make a commitment to yourself, to your family and to the millions of others who have made such incredible commitments in the past, and who will make them now and in the future.

Step 4:  Define - Define your commitment.  Is it 15 minutes a week?  An hour or two a week?  A major event 4 times a year?  A few dollars donation (every single dollar will make a difference in more ways than you might imagine). Volunteer once a year to help out at an event?  Write it down for yourself.  But do not commit for more than is reasonable and that allows you to maintain you commitments to family, work and church.  Also, do not commit any less than you believe is necessary.

Step 5:   Educate yourself - Emotions and passion are wonderful, but they will be most useful if you direct those feelings toward an activity that will help you be an ambassador to your friends and neighbors.  Rational discussion will have a much longer lasting influence on people than inflammatory whining about taxes or a person or whatever.  Pick one topic that excites you for whatever reason. Read up on it in our (soon to be posted) 15-minute all-you-need-to-know selections.  Read the background information linked to from those vignettes.  Read all you can from good, solid and reliable sources. Read opposition articles.  Become fully knowledgeable on that topic.

Step 6: Rinse and Repeat -  redo step 5 with another topic.  You won't become a college professor on any particular topic (although you might be better informed!), but you will be conversant, and when combined with your passion and your love of family and country and freedom, you will become an effective citizen and ambassador for the future.
